It is with great enthusiasm that we invite all teaching and non-teaching staff from foreign Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to participate in the 2026 edition of the Portalegre Polytechnic University International Week.
This year’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence, Creativity and Learning in a Global World”, invites us to reflect on the opportunities and challenges emerging from the rapid evolution of AI and its impact on teaching, research, creativity and academic cooperation. The programme will provide a unique space for dialogue, sharing and collaboration among colleagues from diverse cultural and institutional backgrounds.
Throughout the week, we will have the pleasure of welcoming experts and academics who will share their insights on how AI is reshaping educational practices and fostering innovative approaches to learning. The event will feature lectures, interactive workshops and round-table discussions, encouraging participants to explore new methodologies, debate current trends and exchange best practices relevant to contemporary higher education.
We believe that embracing cultural diversity and promoting the sharing of experiences are essential to building a dynamic and forward-looking academic community. This International Week aims to strengthen international networks, stimulate collaborative projects and foster partnerships that can contribute to joint initiatives, as well as student and staff mobility.
We warmly invite you to engage actively, share your perspectives and contribute to the collective dialogue that enriches not only our students, but also the wider academic communities we represent. Together, we can shape a more inclusive, innovative and globally connected future for higher education.
